Stop the water at the source.
Waterproofing, leak repair, painting, rope access and planned maintenance — assessed properly before the first coating goes down.
The right waterproofing system depends on where the water is getting in.
Roof leaks
Leaks through concrete slabs, metal roofs, pitched roofs, valleys, ridges or previous repairs.

Waterproofing for exposed slabs, balconies, planters and water-retaining structures.
See waterproofing systems →High-rise access
Waterproofing, painting, inspections, cleaning and repairs where scaffolding is impractical.

Scheduled inspections and re-coating before UV exposure and seasonal wear become major failures.

Rainier Waterproofing’s current service scope includes 4 mm torch-on, polyurethane, acrylic, liquid plastic, cementitious and bitumen-based liquid systems. The demo makes the selection process clearer instead of presenting waterproofing as one generic coating.
1. Understand the substrate
Concrete, metal, tiles, plaster, gutters and joints behave differently and need different detailing.
2. Identify movement & water paths
Cracks, flashings, penetrations, box gutters, parapets and expansion joints often matter more than the visible stain.
3. Choose the system
Specify the membrane/coating around exposure, access, traffic and the exact construction detail.
Long-term waterproofing is a maintenance discipline.
Rainier publishes more than 20 years of experience, recommends full inspections every two years, and offers scheduled maintenance including visual checks, re-coating and minor repairs.
UV & weather
Sun, heat, cold and rain gradually age exposed waterproofing systems.
Movement
Buildings expand, contract and move. Joints and junctions need ongoing attention.
Drainage
Blocked outlets and standing water can turn small defects into major leak paths.
Early repairs
Small defects are usually easier to solve before they damage ceilings, finishes or structure.
When ladders stop, the work doesn’t.
Rainier’s rope-access team handles inspections, waterproofing, painting, repairs and window cleaning at height using IRATA-compliant techniques, with less dependence on scaffolding or boom lifts.
